Epiphany in Paris: Chouchou's exclusive galette des rois by Benoît Castel
On Epiphany, Le Chouchou affirms its identity more than ever: here, the galette des rois can only be enjoyed at Le Chouchou, a quintessentially French restaurant with the spirit of an urban guinguette in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, in a lively and warm atmosphere, faithful to the spirit of the house. Located a stone's throw from the Opéra Garnier, between Madeleine and the department stores (Galeries Lafayette and Printemps), Le Chouchou is an essential place to be. To celebrate this iconic January ritual, Le Chouchou has teamed up with Benoît Castel, who has created an exclusive galette des rois, designed exclusively for the hotel.

Throughout January, every weekend, Chouchou's galette des rois is served at brunch. It's impossible to take it away: this creation is shared on site, around large tables, under the light-filled glass roof.
Benoît's galette des rois respects tradition. It is made using inverted puff pastry, a demanding technique that involves trapping the dough in the butter. The result is a crispier, lighter, and more melt-in-the-mouth galette.

Inside, the frangipane reveals a generous and creamy texture, combining almond cream and Madagascar vanilla. A sincere and indulgent recipe that cannot be found anywhere else.
To accompany this exclusive galette des rois, each slice contains a handmade charm designed by ceramicist Flore Faucheux. Eight handcrafted models, designed as true collector's items, enhance the Epiphany experience at Le Chouchou.
True to its playful spirit, Le Chouchou adds a surprise to tradition: a winning bean in the shape of a roast chicken. Its owner wins a night in a hotel suite, accompanied by brunch. A perfect way to prolong the Le Chouchou experience.
